Jamshedpur, Aug 20: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy visited various localities of his constituency to take stock of the situation in the aftermath of continuous rain that lashed the city in the last 24 hours. He spoke to local residents and inquired about the situation. He made the inspection after several local residents complained about disruption of electricity supply to various localities.

At Dalma Road, Nildih, a large tree fell on 33,000 KVA high tension wire. Similar situation was witnessed at other places. Insulator was also punctured at some places, sources said.

Roy asked the electricity department officials to take necessary measures to restore normal electricity supply at the earliest. He also demanded removal of trees that had fallen on roads in the rainstorm.
